Problems! Secondaries DUMPING fuel. WHY?
Ok I swapped from TPI to a Holley 600 vac. secondary setup, Edelbrock manifold, etc... It's been fine for over 6000 miles now and I mean flawless. Not a stumble, stall, hickup or anything. Well after a quick nitrous blast thru 3 gears I shut the nitrous down and the car died immediately once I let off the throttle. It wouldn't fire back up at all unless I floored it and turned it over for 10-15 seconds and then it wouldn't idle under 4000 RPM!
Get it back home and I check fuel pressure, leaks, etc...My stock intank pump comes on when I turn my ignition on and when I did that I could hear fuel dripping...A LOT. I look in my carb and fuel is just pouring everywhere in those 2 barrels. I assume something is blown. People say the needles, some say a cracked float, some say a power valve problem...
My friend took it all apart for me, cleaned it 100%, threw it back together and it idled/ran perfect, full throttle was perfect again.. So we went to fill up the tank, let the car warm up, etc...I cracked the bottle open and went thru 2 gears full throttle, shut nitrous system off again and bam...dead. Secondaries again are DUMPING fuel into the engine at idle
Any reccomendations fellas? This has been the car's ONLY problem since the carb swap and now I doubt it's reliability.

I'm wondering how your nitrous system is run.
It sounds like the needle&seats aren't working right and may need to be replaced.
I can't figure why it would do it only when you use the nitrous though. Do the carb and n2o share a single fuel line from a single pump?

Yes they share the same fuel pump...It's not "just" after i use nitrous...that seems to be what makes it do that only after. I'd like to know why it ran fine once we tore it apart, cleaned everything, then fired it back up..
I'm also thinking of either a full rebuild kit or just a new carb. I'll need a larger one for the future anyways but giving up on this one wouldn't be right..haha

Either there is dirt getting stuck in the needle and seat,
causing it to stick open amd leak/flood fuel.
Or the pressure regulator is sticking (dirt) causing exessive pressure against the needle and seat.
Or both.
You should be running separate fuel lines/pumps ofr the NOS
and for the engines' fuel.
How much fuel pressure do you have at the carb at idle?
causing it to stick open amd leak/flood fuel.

Since he said it was only the secondaries dumping the fuel,
I'd have to think that the rear needle & seat was not working right & may need replaced.
I'd also recommend running separate lines & pumps.
Check your fuel filter for dirt. If you see dirt in the filter then I'm sure you're getting it in the carb as well.
