is this tuneing a carb?

when tuneing a holley VS carb is the onlything u need to do in order to tune it is mess with the idle misture screws? i no she aint running perfect and i have messed with thouse screws but all i find they do is adjust the idle. am i missing something.??????

That is part of tuning, but there is more to getting it right. You may have to change the jets in the primary and secondary side to for the main system. There may also be a need to change the powervalve depending on the engines vacuum. Changing out the VS spring to eliminate bog when they open, or changing the pump shooter and/or pump cam to eliminate tip-in hesitation.

There is more you can do if you want ot get it finer tuned, but then your out of my realm of knowledge. May someone else can help more.

What kind of problems are you having? And more importantly how is the ignition system? A good ignition tune-up can make a car run much better (cap, rotor, plugs, wires, coil, module, reset the initial timing...
