Has anyone ever had their fuel pickup get clogged?
Out of curiosity, anyone ever experienced their fuel pickup in the tank get clogged? (Reffering to factory carbed cars without the in tank pump).

Yes. Happens all the time. More often than you might think. Very common cause of fuel starvation problems; the kind where the car does stuff like runs like a bat out of hell through first and second gear, then falls flat on its face halfway through third.
The pickup tube itself will even clog up with crusties, especially if the car sits for long periods of time without use.

Yeah, I have heard of the crusties. My car has never sat though. I discovered that when I took my Holley apart to do my bi monthly cleaning that i accidentally forgot to set my needle and seat right. HEHE. Back to its old neck breaking self.
