wiring electric chocke ?
hey all just switched tbi to carb... and now i have an electric choke... does anyone who knows from past expiearances where a good 12 volt source is that is only on when the key is turned forward... don't really wanna cut wires and start testing them.... if you know where one is it would be very helpful... thx again..

Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
There should be two spots on your fuse panel marked 'IGN' that have power only when the key is turned to 'RUN' and 'START'. Tap into one of those, and be sure to use a fuse, as those points aren't protected against overload.

The Choke heater needs power all the time that the motor is running. It is used to turn OFF the choke as the motor warms-up. You "turn on" the choke by pressing in the gas and releasing BEFORE starting the motor.
