carb question ( truck)
I know this isnt a camaro question but i have never messed with a electric q-jet and its on a 85 chevy truck. i converter it to a holley and seems to run allot better. my question is what do i need to do so the truck wont get messed up? the reason im asking is that the distribator is monatored buy the computer, and was wondering since i took the q-jet off will it afect the timing? If that makes any since. thanks in advance Sean

You're running with "limp home" advance curve. Very little, in other words.
You need a non-CC distributor as well. One with vacuum and mechanical advance. A Summit HEI would do the trick, as would a used factory or other similar aftermarket units.
