Proform Main Bodies???????

Proform Main Bodies???????

I JUST INSTALLED THE 750 FPROFORM MAIN BODIES ON MY 650 DP,I CAN GET THE CAR TO RUN RIGHT,THE IDLE IS POOR AND WILL STALL AT A STOP THE PROFORM HAS 8 AIR BLEEDS 4 IN THE FRONT 4 IN THE BACK HOW DO THESE WORK,CAN YOU ADJUST THEM??????THEY LOOK LIKE CARB JETS

I assume you mean you can't get it to run right.

The air bleeds are adjusted by changing, like jets.

That probably isn't your problem, though. Are you able to make any difference by adjusting the idle mixture screws? Are you sure you got everything together right - no leaking or blocked passages? Since you have to use your old throttle plate, it's possible adjustments on it aren't correct and are causing problems, even if you didn't have "issues" with the 650.

I assume you've verified the float levels are set properly.

I found that mine idled much better when I hooked the vacuum advance to the manifold source (the timed vacuum port doesn't operate with the Proform body).

i checked everything on the floats and i just put the 650 main body back on and it still does it,so i guess its not the proform but the car ran fine till i put the proform on i dont understand it
