Hi guys, it's been a while (car out of storage now).
I've installed a holley on an adapter plate (1") because i'm using stock intake...

Now the hood dont close well with the stock air cleaner, it's againts the hood insulator, anyone know an air cleaner open or close that fits, the cheaper the better, i dont mind an open... but close is better.

You can buy a 14" chrome edelbrock open element with 2" tall filter from the autoparts store or wherever for around $20 that should fit.
I would say a lot of the round open element filters would work.

I am surprised your stock air cleaner assembly even fit over the holley. Mine didn't have room underneith for the float bowls and it wouldn't sit down on the carb all the way. Made for the qjet.

 

yes that's what i'm going to try when i got some time...
i can bring it back no problem even after it has been open in a local store...

 

Im gonna need a lifter kit for mine cuz the fuel pumper is in the way of mine. Autozone said 25.00 for it.
