should i use a carb space with performer intake?

should i use a carb space with performer intake?

i just got an edelbrock performer intake and i also have a 600cfm electric choke edelbrock carb and i was wondering if i should use a carb space with this setup? also what gakset do i use? i have seen ones with the wide open place in the middle and the gasket with the 4 holes. so what do you reccomend? thanks alot

4 hole, 1\2" thick or so...Phenolic.
