Carb cleaning for a newb

I bought my car awhile back and im about to put my 355 in it. The car came with (from the original owner) a Carter 625cfm carb on it. Elec choke. My dad and a good friend of his (a race motor specialist) who he works for off and on are the ones building me the 355. The problem is, i am getting impatient and other engines are getting ahead of mine on the work schedual. They have to rebuild my heads and clean and tune my carb for me. Thats all that is left for the engine. I would like to know how to take apart/clean/rebuild if necessary my Carter so i dont have to wait for them to do it. A quick tutorial or basics would be great if u guys have the time.

PS I tried a search and didn't find anything useful
