ok doing the switch need some help
OK here it goes I have a 91 RS 305 TBI w/ Problems
Just bought a complete 88 IROC w/ a 350 TPI Great engine dunno what rear end is in it but wanna get rid of the single Limited slip rear...OK Now for technical
Can I rip the 305 out and harness and drop the 350 down in it after installation of all the goodies of course...and wire it up like normal using a block mounted fuel pump with a Edelbrock Tourqer and a Holley 850 DP
How many electrical probs will I have doing away with the computer, anything cause any probs like speedo or anything or can i just rip that gauge cluster out and go with manual gauges like some of the people are doing on this board.

Just leave the stock harness in the car unhooked. Leave the ecm alone to control the tank fuel pump and torque converter, vss and such. You cant use a block mounted pump i dont think the roller cam has a lobe to drive the pump, but that doesnt matter since you have an intank pump.
Just regulate the in tank pump down and run it to the carb. btw that carb is major over kill.

Way too much carb. Definately Overkill. The intake is overkill too. If you install that intake you will be one of many people that come back and call it a piece of crap. I have the intake, and run it on my car. I also run a long duration high RPM cam. That particular single plane wont be worth a crap with a stock style cam. Go with a smaller carb, and a Performer RPM or an AirGap RPM. You will be a happier man in the end.
