Okay, so today i decided to give a very good look over of my engine, and found something bad.
the vacum lines are all f'd up,

in that picture, the hose on the very right of the canister isnt connected to anything, where does it go?

thats the diaphram, right?
well it had a hose coming out of it, also not attatched to anything
In the first picture, if you look, there is also a smaller hose that isnt connected to anything (following the big one thats not connected) I got some new line and attatched the smaller one to the diaphram.
i can take more pictures if need be.

pretty much all i need to know is where the hell that big fat hose connects to (the one closest to the fender)

alrite. in my 84 camaro carbed' the charcol canister (big fat can driver side fender area) the right hose goes to my fuel tank. on top of the canister it will say where it goes. itl say tank, and carb. there is whats called a ported vacuum switch on the intake, which on the top it goes to a vaccum regulator, and on the bottom, it goes directly to that canister. hopes that helps ya!
****, wonder why its not connected >.<

One of the big lines that ends up at the charcoal canister goes to the carb bowl. Most aftermarket carbs don't have that provision.
Do you still have that valve that sits at the front of the engine with all the vacuum lines on it?

you mean that thing with the blue paint on it?

You appear to have a lot of things that aren't connected to anything. Is there anything in particular that you're trying to solve?
haha, ***, i hate the condition my car is in.
I wish i knew more of the technical side of cars, but yeah, I want my car to run nice, and have good gas mileage, I want everything to be hooked up the way its meant to be. and youre right, i have a lot of things that arent hooked up to anything, and it really pisses me off but at least the car drives. If I can slowley put the pieces back together, than sweet, im happy. But I also dont have the income to bring it to a shop and have them figure it out for me.

Well, that's a mechanical q-jet. So, if you don't have a vacuum/mechanical advance distributor on it as well, that's a good way to get bad mileage. Does the distributor have a silver "can" sticking out of the base below the cap?
yeah it does, the vacuum line runs to the front of the carb.
