carb not big enough?
I have a 79 350 with 416 heads. I'm using a holley street dominator intake, comp 270-h10 cam, flowtech headers, and an edelbrock 1405 carb. Is this carb too small for my application? Would a 750 be too big or maybe a street avenger 670?

Nope, 600cfm is plenty of cfms for your combo if I assume your keeping it under 6000 rpms. You will need to make sure your carb is properly tuned though and that it is getting the proper fuel pressure.

I have a question on this subject.
My engine is from a 94 truck, .350 bored .030, 4 bolt, balanced, heads ported, 10/1 compression, .488 lift single pattern cam advanced 4deg.
The guy that block work told me it would take 7000 all day but I dont ever take it past 6000.
Lately I can pull strong though first gear to 6k, but every gear after that it starts running out of gas at around 3500.
Been through the 1405 carb twice and even put in bigger jets. Ran a pressure gauge in the car and it doesn't drop below 6.5 psi.
Plug read great.
Do I need a bigger carb
