Replacing TPS and rich mixture plugs
Is it absolutely nessecary to replace these plugs after doing a rebuild? I think my mileage has been slowly decreasing, is it possible that the adjustments I made are now out of whack, because there are (and never were) any plugs over the TPS adjusting screw and the rich mixture stop screw? This is a 87 E4ME Q-Jet

I'm no expert
Frank_Blotto,
It would seem unlikely that any of those adjustments would "Reset themselves" or Vibrate loose.
I placed a small dab of RTV sealant into the TPS adjustment hole. I did nothing to the others.

Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking, but in Doug Roe's Q-Jet book, it says to re-seal them, as did the (very helpful) directions that came with my rebuild kit. But I like your suggestion best, I'm gonna put some RTV over those. Thanks for the idea.
