Ths Carb Good??
Holley Double Pumper 750cfm, Pro-Form main body, jet extensions, viton needles/seats, upgraded floats, and 2 power valve block offs.
Whats all that mean?
This is from a guy I know whos Mustang ran 11.06@123mph, so its in excellent working order. He wants $350 for it.

It means it wouldn't be a very good carb for the street. The power valve is for cruise conditions, without it you'll be overly rich under cruise.
Proform main body is a smoothed-out, tricked out center section of the carb. No choke (again, making it not the best for the street). It does allow for idle and main air bleed changes, though, for fine tuning.
Jet extensions go in the rear bowl to keep the jets in the fuel under hard acceleration.
Viton is just a better soft material for the inlet needle/seat. Also works with alcohol.

A good carb for a fairly powerfull small block.
The only real change for the street would be to reinstall a primary power valve and reduce the primary jetting to a#70-74 jet.

My Camaro aint exactly for the street. I take it out cruizin and to the track only. Its got a 350, Trick Flow Kenny Duttweiler Heads, Powermax Roller Cam 234/242 539/558, and needs a good carb. Im not after fuel economy or other things like a choke, just all out performance on a bugdet. The guy said he'll tune the carb down a little bit for my setup. Sounds to me like the carb Im looking for

I havent got a good run yet cuz Ive been using a used Edelcrap 600. Also crappy T5 with bad gear ratios, and slipping clutch if the tires hooked.
Every experienced racer Ive talked to about my setup says low-flat 12's with a decent drivetrain, and mid-high 11's with a good drivetrain and tune, and I believe it. Then I could force induct it into the 10's from there.
It sucked that I never realy got a feel for it this year. Got it finished too late in the summer, and ran out of money.

Some people remove and plug the power valves on race only cars with very large racing cams with little manifold vacuum at idle. You want to run a power valve on the primary side to allow leaner primary cruise jetting (smaller jets) You should also hook up a PCV to the base of the carb.
These mods will not effect your on track performance, but will allow the motor to run clean on the street.
Will improve the spark plug life and make the car more consistant.
If you leave the powervalve out and run his race jetting your car will "load up" over time and loose its tune. (carbon fouling)
The accelerator pump shooters, cams and linkage set up will need to be dialed in to match your car/engine too.
It's probabily set up more aggressive than you need for your car.
