Car: 1983 camaro
Engine: 2.8...... 3.8t coming soon or should I do a ls6 almost the same cost hmmm.....
Transmission: 3spd soon to be either a 700 or t56....
tuning my carb

ok i have done all the searching i have a 1983 2.8 with a 2bbl carb it sems to back fire through the carb when i try to get on it also when i shut the car of it trys to continue to run and i am getting horrible gas mileage. I dont know how to tune my carb or even what kind it is i know its a rebuilt oem anly about a thousand miles old so please help me im putting gas in my car every day and im not going any where.... thanks in advance

By your description, it seems to be running pig-rich, and the "rebuild" may not have been effective if the final adjustments weren't made after it was installed.

Are you getting any error codes?

well my check engine light is on but it will not let me pull any codes it doesnt even flash from ignition on to run it stays solid all the time. any suggestions??
