Hey guys
im strating school in 2 weeksa and my plan is to put a carbd big block in my 89 GTA. Ive been doing a lot of searching on this site but ive had trouble coming up with an all inclusive parts list for the things ill need. I know all the motor parts i need but im not sure about the other stuff. Ignition, throttle bracketry and cables, fuel pump, what kind of distributor ( i read heis dont fit), fuel pump and all the other parts for the carb conversion. When i go to clas i wanna be able to show the teacher that i already know most of what i need to do to make my engine work so it doesnt becoem a long dragged out process and im waiting for parts and wasting time. So could some you guys help me out and tell me all the complimentary parts i will need to get my bg block driveable. ?
Also i have some questions about the electronics. First off what do i do about my gauges, cooling fans, tranny (i have the 700r4 but will be pulling it out 2 months after my big blocks in the car for a t400 unless i get cash sooner so i need it to work for a little while, dont care about the lockup), i have Vats so do i need to rewire that, will it make the comp. unusable, and also what other things do i need to rewire or is there anything else you guys can think of that i need to do.
