Carb Spacer
Does anyone know if a 1" aluminum cab spacer would still allow the carb/air cleaner fit under a stock 84 Trans Am cowl induction hood? I'm looking at picking one up when I rebuild my carburetor since I'll have it off anyway, would be a good time time to put it on.

I don't think so. I have a 1/2 inch Phenolic with stock air cleaner and it just fits my 83 Z28 SMC hood. I actually think the firebird hoods have less clearance than the Camaros.

Well that's not good.
I was hoping to be able to use it with my stock air filter/cowl induction on my 84 Trans Am. Would have been useful when I put the 383 in it but now.../shrug
