Dry spark plugs
I got a 350 1988 block with a weiand intake. On top of all that I got a holley 650 double pumper. On the carb there is electric choke and mech. seconardy
Now my problem is that my plugs are dry, like brand new dry. When i looked on the primary side, (the side with the choke) there is NO gas coming out, not even a drop. But if you pull the trottle enough gas comes out of the seconardy. But even with the gas, I still can not get it started.
So i guess my questions is how do I get my primary's to work?
The carb came from a guy that said it only has 30 miles on it and it sat for about 4 months before I got it

never there isn't any gas that comes out when the trottle is down, it comes out of the secondary if its pushed down far enough but nothing from the primary

I'll assume you're saying no gas comes out of the accelerator pump squirters when you open the throttle.
Have you checked to fuel level in the bowls? There is a little brass plug with a screwdriver slot on the side of each fuel bowl that you are supposed to remove to check and set the float level. When fuel just dribbles out the bottom is when the float is set correctly.
I'm guessing that the primary float is stuck closed so you aren't getting any fuel in the primary bowl. It isn't uncommon for that to happen when a carb sits for awhile. Rapping on the bowl with a screwdriver handle (don't wail on it, a good tap is what we're talking about here) sometimes breaks it loose. Otherwise, remove the bowl and check the needle & seat assembly.
