Fuel pressure regulator

I have a mallory 4309 fuel pressure regulator and i have connected a fuel line running from the regulator up to the back of the blower, but the fuel pressure is always fluctuating. So my question is can i run a fuel line from this regulator or do they reccomend that you don't.Should i just tap into the fuel line closer to the carbs.

Thanks

Jeff.

it's always going to fluctuate due to the engines demand of fuel, it won't just sit at 6psi rock steady. Mine moves from 9psi at idle to 6-7psi at wot while really stepping on the car. Now if it's bouncing while the motor is off, then I'd suspect something is wrong.

Sitting at idle it is bouncing between 0-2psi and while reving it it hardly changes.do you think i might have to connect the line closer to the carbs.
Thanks.

i would try adjusting the nut on the top to make the pressure go up, basically loosen the nut then turn the screw with an allen until pressure reads 6-7 psi
