Engine stutter and popping 350 carb
I have an 84 camaro z28 with a carb 350 with 5 speed manual out of a 70;s camaro. Not sure what vin or anything since i didnt do the swap. The car has been sitting for a while before i bought it and when i drive slower its alright but when i floor it and it gets to high 3000's or into the 4,000 rpm range it starts to stutter and pop and wont accelerate past that unless i shift up and or bring the rpm's down. Is this a problem with the carb not enough fuel, too much? Not enough air too much? Please let me know. Car has dual exhaust with headers, edelbrock intake, and a carter carb. Thanks

Need to know more about what carb and ignition you're running. Could be a fuel supply problem, secondary metering problem, or ignition problem.

I was having the EXACT same problem with my motor. I pulled/changed the plugs and #3 was half oil fouled (sounds strage, but if you cut the plug in half long ways, it was perfect on one side, and oil covered on the other).
With the new plugs it pull STRONG like it used to all the way up to 5800 and higher. 30miles later, the problem came back, pulled that plug again, and it was fouled again. Next time im marking what valve that plug is facing, if its the one I think it is, ive got a warn guide.
