carb took a smoke break?
i been running freeflow for the last few weeks to keep my car from heating up and building enough pressure to leak out of the crack in my 6month old vatozone radiator. well i finally found the reciept and got a replacement so i installed a thermostat and am running it at 195deg. i shut off my car and was adjusting my tv cable and when i opend the throttle eighther smoke or steam came out of the carb. it was in the 50's and i could see my breath so could it just have been hot air comming from the intake or should i be worried about something else?

It's no big deal. Smoke comes out of the carb's or other throttle bodies mounted on top of the intake. If its either just warm air rising or just a tad bit of smoke still left in a cylinder on the compression stroke and it's leaving through the intake. Someone else might have a better idea but its nothing to worry about.

Funny Story but a tad off topic... Was setting timing on a TBI car and my bro was leanin over the Throttle body with the timing light checking it and it went through my head..... should probably pull his head back in case it backfires.. not even a second later POOF!!! just remember you are playing with fire with these cars.. anything is possible.. and for god's sake dont lean over the carb when setting timing lol.. you'll come to work with one eyebrow missing
You mean after you turn it off you get some "fog" drifting out of the throttle bores? If so, it's pretty much normal. It's vaporized fuel- just the mix that was making it's way through the intake as you shut the motor off. And yes, it's highly flammable.
