Wont Start Warm

So, I got the issue with my fuel pressure hammered out, and my gauge is pegged at 7psi constantly, good stuff. She even runs great, better than I expected =).

However (theres always this part in one of my posts), the car will NOT start after it has been warmed up. Ill run it, turn it off, and nothing. Just cranking, no sputtering or backfiring, as if I were getting no fuel. But I am getting 7psi while this happens. I know, you are thinking "vapor lock". Well, my fuel lines essentially are in the exact same place as they were with the TPI, and this even occurs after the car has only run for 2 minutes. A search turned up questions about the Transmissions TCC solenoid locking the converter up, or some nonsense, and then unlocking when the car sits for a while. Oh yeah, if I let it sit for about an hour its fine.

Ok guys, NOW where do I start? (edelbrock 1411, mallory 4309 reg, and stock in tank pump.)

You start by checking whether or not you have spark under these no-start conditions.

Distributor is brand new, when it happens again, I'll check for spark and see what I turn up with.

Re: Wont Start Warm

i have the exact same problem in my 82 z28, starts without hesitation when cold runs good, after warm i turn the car off for ten minutes or so, then i go to start it, it usually fires but stumbles, if i help it out with some gas pedel playing it will start and idle good, but if it happens to stumble to a stop then i rufuses to start unless i let it sit for like an hour or longer. then starts right up again. its driving me nuts. we got to figure this out. and when its in this no start condition it gets zero spark. this is to weird. thanks guys

Joel
