i just put another q jet on my 82 t/a , the old one was screwed and i had a rebuilt one lying around so i changed it , but now my car will idle for a minute then the rpms will drop and it will die, is it the fast idle or choke?

 

Sounds like maybe the choke is stuck on and causing it to load up and stall.

Keep the air cleaner off and start up the car and watch to see if the choke opens up or if it stays shut.

If the choke never opens, check to make sure you have a FULL 12v on the choke wire! If so it may be a bummed out unit.

 

the choke stays open i gotta adjust it , but i got the car running and driving , just having choke problems
