Running rich

Ok guys I have got a holley 4010 (I know I know get a new one ) that I just re built and the thing runs great nice smooth idle great acceleration everything is as I hoped, with the exception of the fact that no matter what I do I can not get this thing to stop running rich I have done everything I can think of but it just wont stop running rich and I am hoping someone on here might have an idea on what I should look at next.

Thanks ahead of time
Chilli

When is it rich? When cold? Only at idle? Only under power? Only under cruise?

Have you rejetted it?

Re: Running rich

re built re jetted, to tell you the truth I notice it most on start up occasionally it will puff smoke when I first accelerate it does not seem to run rich all the time and I seem to notice it most when its cold.

You might be slightly over-choked.

I forget if the 4010 has replaceable squirters. If it does, go down a step.
