How to replace float?

The float in my carb is bad and stays sunk, I know I have to take off the air horn, but is there some sort of adjustment that needs to be made?

If it helps I have a Carter Q-Jet and the numbers read:
17059205
2408 CBD

The carb has been rebuilt already not too long ago, but since I'm taking off the air horn, should anything else be replaced?

Re: How to replace float?

There is a built-in weak point in the arm of a QJet float. Adjustment to the float height is accomplished by bending the float arm at that point.
