I have an 87 TA 4bbl carb and have a problem. When I connect the electronic sensor thing or whatever its called my car looses power greatly.Gets real sluggish and has like no torque. Im not sure what the proper name is called. Its this blue little plig switch thing on the carb. When I disconnect it the check engine light stays on but the car has much more power. What do I need to do to fix this? Thanks in advanced.

I assume you're talking about the mixture control solenoid connector. If it runs better without it connected, you've probably got an input problem.

Clear the codes, run it with the MCS connected, retrieve any trouble codes.
