I was wondering if it is alright to add a carb scoop onto an 84 Z28 high output. My air cleaner is the dual snorkel setup but the snorkel elements are missing, so it is just the air cleaner itself. I'd like to add a butterfly scoop, but leave the hood (ie: no hole in the hood) Is it possible? Any adverse effects to doing so?

 

uh, ok.. it will work if you can fit it under the hood.. and it probably wont have much of an effect on power.. its basically the snorkel setup with a butterfly in the hose..
