fuel leak
i just had a question about gaskets on the fuel line/fuel filter housing on the carb. it's an '84 L69. I just replaced the fuel filter, and ever since ive put it back together, it's been leaking fuel like a sieve. i couldn't find any gaskets that i forgot to put back, though all i did put on was one plastic gasket. does anybody know what i'm missing? thanks.

Re: fuel leak
I recently replaced the in carb filter on my 84 L69 Camaro. I don't recall any gaskets. The fine threads and material in the housing and carb is a bit soft Did you cross thread it perhaps?

There is a nylon gasket that fits on the end of the filter/inlet nut. It goes on the nut before you screw it into the carb housing.
They sometimes dislodge and stick in the carb. Pull the nut off and check for that gasket and that it's in good shape, and that nothing is stuck in the carb itself.
There isn't any gasket between the inlet nut and fuel line. That is metal-to-metal, and all mating surfaces need to be clean, straight, and free of nicks, etc.
