Stupid question about these blower intakes

Alright, I am currently looking at these Air Scoops, Not with the supercharger, I've been looking at them for a while now, and planning on getting one for my camaro RS, only thing is, Im wondering if it would be street legal or not. Im not finding anything in the laws that says its not legal, or even speak of it.

here's a pic of what Im looking at, and it would be sticking out of the hood, but Im not sure if it would be too high with the spacer underneath it. Im pretty sure most people will tell me its not legal, but I would raither hear it from some one who knows this more then I do. (btw I live in Montana if that helps any)
Thanks.

Re: Stupid question about these blower intakes

Not sure about Montana but a friend of mine with a tunnel ram and one of those sticking out of the hood never had a problem with cops here in CA.
