Quadrajet - 400hp 350?
Hey guys,
I'm kinda new to the Qjet, and I've been seriously toying with the idea of using the 800cfm Caddy unit I've got, from a stock 500ci engine.
What my engine setup is right now is 350ci, XE274 cam, 200cc World heads, 10:1 CR, 1-5/8 short tube headers, MSD ignition.
What I've got in the Qjet that I have is what I *think* is 62 primary jets with 37J primary rods. On the secondary side I have DH rods and an I hanger.
Does this sound like a reasonable place to start? What should I change? I'm looking for a strong street/strip engine - bias towards strip. I like my Holleys, but want to try something new.

Re: Quadrajet - 400hp 350?
Are you still driving it this time of year?!?
I think you'll be fine. The air bleeds for that caddy model will be... Weird. So it's hard to say what rods and jets you need. You know how to tune your holley based on throttle response and plugs eh ? Same idea.
I'd have to look up DH rods, I think they're lean though. I hanger is a bit late. See if you can find DR or even DA rods. I may have a spare set and a hanger I could send you if need be.
200cc world heads eh? That's an upgrade from the 601s eh? How's it run now? What's your best time on it?
FYI i'm planning on keeping my Q-jet when I cam up my car this winter, and nitrous it.

I actually haven't run it yet with the 200cc heads yet... only ran for about 15 mins lol.
I'll see what my old CC Qjet has for rods in it... might have something better.
