help with 305 carb
hey guys i have a 1984 camaro z28, not sure what year my 305 is from but, it was swapped in, it used to be matched up to a th200c transmission which leads me to believe it was from an 82-83 camaro.
anyways im new to carbs, the motor runs and starts just fine, but im guessing its an early emissions car so it has a lot of vacume lines. how do i got about clean this up, im not worried about emissions or anything so dont worry about any of that crap. a lot of lines are cracked and old, i want to find out what is what and what i need and dont need. would like to clean up my bad a little bit. here is a picture of what im dealing with.

Re: help with 305 carb
Keep the PCV line and cap the other side. Keep the EGR lines to the relay ( unless you have a block-off plate). Keep the Cruise connected if you want it. Keep the fuel tank vent ( AKA Charcoal filter ),.... & Cap off / remove everything else.
It looks like your running Non-Smog headers and the smog pump was probably already caped / removed.

Are you in Canada? It looks like your car has open-loop Canadian emssions. I don't see any evidence of a computer system and there are multible vacuum lines going down to the charcoal canister just like the Canada cars.
If so, you already have a pretty simple setup the way it is. You could install an earlier two port(tank, carb) charcoal canister to get rid of a few lines. You can also remove the EGR and the vacuum lines and TVS switch related with that. The torque converter lockup in controlled by a series of vacuum and electic switches since there is no computer so you'll need to keep all of that.
