Engine dies in gear unless completely warm
Engine dies in gear unless completely warm
I have a 650 speed demon that has been tuned on a dyno then I took it over to another shop because the idle was surging and stalling if not warmed up ,they got everything working except I have to warm my car up to 180 degrees or it will just die if I try to put it in gear. I have checked the choke and it turns off when it should. Right now the initial timing is at 10 ( it's low I know) but the shop said it runs great and if I want more power I can take it higher. the car starts fine it that means anything.

FYI. If I let the car completely warm up it runs fine.

Sounds like you need to choke to stay on longer. I'm not completely familiar with Demons, but I assume you can move the choke thermostat to "richer" or "leaner". Richer just means the thermostat tension is greater, meaning the thermostat needs to warm up more to completely release.
