I'm about to bring a engine to life for the first time just too see if it runs. Here's my question. It needs an intake and carb to be complete. I just want to see if it runs. Can I slap my intake and Computer controleed quadrajet on there without hooking up the electronics and still get it to start? I know it would be horrible as far as idling n junk, but I just need it to start.

It will start if you have fuel to the carb and power to the distributor.
