CCC QJet Help

When cold starting (after sitting overnight) the engine fast idles for a few minutes at 4500 - 5000 rpm. After a few minutes, I can tap the gas and it will idle at 550 - 600 rpm. Where on the carb is the adjustment for the fast idle?

See carb sticky at the top of this forum. Look for fast idle adjustment.

Re: CCC QJet Help

found it, got it adjusted to where it doesn't idle so high cold. what is the recommended rpm while the choke is closed?

Re: CCC QJet Help

On an overnight-cold engine it should settle in around 1300-1400 shortly after startup.
