Used parts, probably. New parts, no.

Intake manifold, carb, distributor, gaskets, throttle valve geometry corrector bracket for the throttle arm, some means to lock up the torque converter.

Re: Wanting to switch from tbi to carb

what size carb would you recommend? The 383 is basically has a little cam with i think stock 350 heads from what i can tell. I bought the car with the 383 already in it. And from what i can tell it still has the stock 305 throttle body on it. Not sure about the injectors. How much would the carb make on performance of the motor?

Thanks
Tyler

Really depends upon what else you've got there - heads, cam, exhaust, etc. A 305 throttle body is going to be very restrictive, a 454 TB would be better (requires intake modification to accomplish). On a mild 383, a 454 TB and properly tuned system with a carb intake and TBI adapter could come close to a carb in power, would do a lot better on fuel economy. The TBI forum has a bunch of information on TBI upgrades.

A 650-750 CFM carb is probably what you're looking for if you take off the TBI.

will the intake bolt right on?

I have a guy offering to sell me a holley projection intake and 454 tb w/ inj.
for like 200. Would this work?

How hard would it be to tune it?

Im looking at the ebl flash.

Re: Wanting to switch from tbi to carb

alright guys what do you think about this. i have a holley projection manifold. and a 454 tbi. would it be worth the effort to put the tb on with the 305 inj.
would i see a power increase? The reason i would like to stay with those injectors is because i dont have the ability to tune right now .
Thanks for all the help

The capability to tune would cost you less than converting to carb.

The ability - well, that can be learned.

well if you mean putting the 305 injector into the 454 body that would defeat the purpose on the bigger body, you would be moving more air and starving the mixture of even more fuel
