Cap return line?
On my 89 iroc that I bought awhile back, the previous owner swapped it out to a carbed 350 with an elec. fuel pump. He capped the return line and I was wondering if this was bad on the pump or not? Mainly I ask is because the old regulator is bad so I need to buy a new one. I thought about hooking it back up but idk if it goes to the tank and if it is any good. I could try it out but would rather not. Also, he says my psi sould be around 3 then he turns it up some in the summer and then more when racing. I thought I read on here that the psi means nothing, it just fills the bowls and should be between 4-7. Thanks.

Re: Cap return line?
electric pump i assume? A working return line will keep the pump cooler and it will last longer
usually a carb need 4-7 psi.

If it is a factory-type in-tank electric pump, you need to use the return. And, the Mallory 4309 is the right type of part.
