is it my carb or should i move to the suspension section

i have an 85 maro with the 305 stock swapped a t5 and when im driving i get a lot of vibration on 5th im thinking its the carb bogging or lacking fuel if i downshift to 4th like 90% of vibration goes away any ideas?

Probably the Transmission forum.

What rear gears are you running?

i got 3.08 STD also the funny thing is that if i let go of the gas on 5th its a smoth ride (crusing like) but as soon as i touch the gas all vibration its back and also aint i supposed to get like an extra burst of speed if i go WOT on fifth because of the secondaries kicking in cuz i dont really notice an intant bust it just starts to gain speed but really slow

The secondaries probably won't open up in 5th unless you've just shifted from redline in 4th.

probably a gearing issue, step up to 3.42's at least and your problem will likely be solved.

This is as far from carb's as you can get and still be in this forum...or planet. When you downshift the rpm's change, not the carb's fault. Sorry.
