Hood Clearance on 87 Firebird
I have a 87 firebird with a 305, edelbrock performer intake and looking at getting an aftermarket carb possibly Holley Street avenger 570 cfm, with an 1/2 inch spacer, just curious whether it will fit under the stock hood or not.

It will fit with a drop-base air cleaner.
Why the spacer?
BTW, stick with the stock carb. Much better than a Street Avenger, Performer - basically anything aftermarket for a street car.
