AN adapters

AN adapters

I'll keep this short.I'm plumbing some new AN fuel line from the stock mechanical fuel pump to the carb and wondered if the 3/8NPT to -6AN adapters will work for the connection at the ends.The adapters don't have anything to mate to the inverted flare on the pump and carb end .Will it seal up with just the threads or do i need some other type of fitting?Thanks.

they will not work, you need to buy the proper inverted flare fittings for the card and pump.

If your fuel pump uses inverted flare fittings, you can use an inverted flare to AN adapter. Your fuel pump most likely uses 1/2-20 fittings but could also have 5/8-18 ports.

You need a adapter like this (1/2-20 x 6AN):
