Ok, so for a while now ive been trying to figure out why my car idles rough and stalls out on me every now and then, so tonight i took the air cleaner off that came factory with the car and found 1 little tube/hose that was attached to it, took a pair of vice grips, clamped it off and car seems to idle fine, at least it only fluctuates between 950 - 1000 RPM now as opposed to 500 - 1000 RPM. I traced this hose back and it inserts into the back of the carb...what is this hose for and what does it do? also pinching off this hose what does that do?
