Hey everyone, I am switching my 92 camaro z28 with a 350tpi to a carb setup.
I already have an Performer RPM intake and a 4 barrel carb, and I am gettin a High Energy 268 Comp Cam for it and a pair of long tube heddman headers.

Alright here are my questions with the setup.
1. If I remove my comp and wiring harness will the gauges still work, also what else will I loose by taking it out?
2.How do I wire up a toggle switch for my trq convertor and when do I use it?
3.What is the best way to hook the carb up to my throttle cable?
4. I know I have more questions but I cant think of any now, I really just need information, I am a highschool student with a small budget, and I am doing the work myself and need some information.

Thank You

1. The gauges don't go through the computer harness. If you remove the ECM and ECM harness, you will lose the torque converter lock-up wiring, and the fuel pump power.

2. See the tech article linked from the thirdgen.org homepage.

3. Get a carb or TBI throttle cable from the dealer or junkyard (I have a carb throttle cable, but one lock tab is broken off). There are studs available to hook up the throttle cable to the carb throttle arm. You will also need a geometry corrector bracket to mount to the carb throttle arm for the transmission throttle valve cable.

4. Will answer when you ask. Or, maybe before (as in #3 above).

Slight correction:

You'll still have power to the fuel pump, through the oil pressure sending unit - it just won't prime first, which it doesn't need to since the carb has fuel bowls with plenty of fuel to start the car enough to get an oil pressure reading and start the fuel pump running.
