Got to be drop base.

Spectre is making a dual inlet w/ducts 14" drop base air cleaner for about $100.

Re: which air cleaner will fit great?

I actually bought a cheap 3" x 14" Summit drop base air cleaner with just about the same set up while including a 1/2" spacer (and the intake is an Air Gap). I did cut the inside area of the hood out around the air cleaner, but it probably wasn't necessary. The air cleaner does have a raised center BTW.

Edit: I didn't notice the IROC hood, that may not give enough clearance.

Re: which air cleaner will fit great?

I have a 9 inch Spectre off the shelf from Autozone. It was $30 with rechargable filter (only 2 inches tall). It also had a raised center, but I took a longer bolt, a few washers and a nut, and a 2x4 - I drilled a hole in the 2x4, run the bolt washers through the wood and the filter, and gently tightened the nut until the raised center top became flat instead. Makes a great fit under an IROC hood! 14in jobs tough at least one plug wire on the dist, and the drop-based need that stupid 1/2 in plastic spacer that always leaks and ends up breaking. And with the drop-base, you end up with less airflow since they drop so far that the end result is only about 1/2 inch of available room above the air horn for the air to get into the carb through.
