pre-88 manifold on 88 L98 heads
I bought a used edelbrock rpm manifold for my L98 1988 iroc 350.
I understand I have to elongate the center bolt holes on the manifold, but how do you take care of the different angle of the bolt holes on the heads?
If I just elongate the bolt holes, then the head of the bolt will not sit flush with the manifold. Is there some special wedge type washers I can use? I don't want to have to take the manifold to a machine shop, but if I have to I will.
Anybody come across this problem before? thanks.

Re: pre-88 manifold on 88 L98 heads
The complicated answer is that you can buy wedge washers from McMaster-Carr or from various intake manifold manufacturers (the ones made for that purpose aren't exactly cheap. The easy answer is you don't need them. You can half *** it with regular washers. It's not like you can get much torque on the center bolts, and the torque spec isn't much anyway, so in theory anyway it doesn't really matter.
Personally I'd rather buy an intake that fits the heads, but that's just me. I slotted the holes on a ZZ4 intake going on a buddies car and it works just fine, it's just a PITA slotting the holes and it looks a bit goofy on the car.

Thanks, that's the answer I've been looking for. I bought this intake thinking it was the right one for my application based on the seller's word.
