Holley 6210 Spread Bore Rebuild
I recently got a Holley 6210 Spread Bore in a deal I made for Road Demon. I got it in my head to rebuild the Holley for the Experience. Well, the Fuel Bowls and Metering Blocks were Difficult, but i was very careful and eventually got them off. My Main concern is with the Squirters. Everything i've read told me to Expect Pins, *****, or both when i turn over the main body. I got NONE of that. I looked at the diagram in the Kit (37-605) and the diagram doesn't even show either of these things. Is it possible that the Carb never had them? Right now i have the Pieces soaking. Maybe they'll dislodge (If they're there at all). I know i have the right kit because i called Holley's Tech Support. I really hope that the last person that rebuilt this thing didn't forget to replace them. When i was disassembling it, the Gasket that was used between the main body and the Base plate was cut out of the box that the kit had come in. That ALONE worries me.
Another Issue that i have is that the Floats appear to be non adjustable. There are no Screw there. How would i replace the Pins on those?
I know i post here at the drop of a hat, but you guys are an excellent resource. I want to tap that Experience once more in this, My First, Carb rebuild.
I'm sure that this Carb isn't really worth all the attention that i'm giving it since it's a 40 year old Spread Bore, but it's worth it to me for the education. I would rather make mistakes on an Old, Nearly worthless Carb than on that Road Demon.

Well, i figured out the floats, but i still don't know about the Squirters. Are there Carbs that DON'T come with Pins and ***** under the squirters?

Well, everyone is pretty quiet. Nobody has ANY input at all? I completed the Rebuild. I'm not sure if it works okay because There's no Clearance for the Secondary Accelerator Pump arm at the Manifold. There's some kind of Block off bolted to the Manifold that interferes with the operation of the Accelerator pump arm. I gave up on it for the day. Since i didn't have a Carb Spacer, i figured that there wasn't much i could do to make this work. Who the Hell knows if i was Successful? Who the hell cares?
