4 line sending unit

My Z came with a carb and from the factory there are 4 lines off the sending unit.Main fuel to pump, return line to tank, cannister vapor line and a vent out the bottom of the car by the rearend.I am going to install a new tank and would like to know if I can go back with a 2 line sending unit if I use a vented gas cap. I no longer have a vapor cannister and with a vented cap I shouldn't need the vent out the bottom.Right? thanks

Re: 4 line sending unit

Mmmmmmmm........ truie. Yes, you only need the feed and return line in your case. If you switch to a single line fuel pump (no return line) then you only need one.
