Re: Holley Model 4160 на 2,8 камаро 88'

Let's clarify a few things.

You have a 2.8 liter motor, 1988 model year?

You currently have fuel injection, and want to run a carburetor?

Doing this is possible, but the 4160 is much too large for that motor. You'll want a two barrel carburetor. You'll also need the correct intake manifold (Some chevrolet S-10 pickups had one I believe, as well as earlier camaros), vacuum advance distributor, and a way to lower the fuel pressure to around 6 psi

I also want to add you will need throttle and TV mounting brakets to make sure everything works right. And if you have and use cruise control you will need to get or find or make a braket for that as well. And to add to the post above me you will need to get a fuel pressure regulator to bring the fuel pressure down to 6psi, because most if not all aftermarkey electric fuel pumps pump well above 6, in fact they get real close to 15lbs. And it would be in your best intrest to go to the holley web site and use the carb selector to find the right size that is best for your car.

Yes, 1988!

I follow the advice!

Also, I thought I put a mechanical gasoline pump, but no holes on the block!

Re: Holley Model 4160 на 2,8 камаро 88'

If your block has no provisions for a fuel pump, use this : http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MAA-4309/

It will lower the fuel pressure from the electric pump in the fuel tank

You will also need this: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PRO-67082/

That intake manifold you show will work. But it is 1.6 inches (4 cm) taller than a stock intake manifold, so it might hit the bottom of your hood.

Why do you want to use that one? It is more expensive

The HEI is very reliable, and easy to use and tune. This one costs less money.

Also, the distributor you want to use will not ship out until December at the earliest, it is not kept in stock. I do not know if that is important to you or not

Re: Holley Model 4160 на 2,8 камаро 88'

The prices are the same.

The only difference is the top piece, one of them is blank or plain. The other has the company name on it.

That is the only difference, they are equal to each other

Re: Holley Model 4160 на 2,8 камаро 88'

I don't know why it suggests different parts...

You don't need to buy either of those parts though, since an air filter element comes with the air cleaner assembly. Those are just replacement air filters

Re: Holley Model 4160 на 2,8 камаро 88'

The ignition coil is contained inside the HEI distributor

If that's what you are asking?
