Where to run manual choke cable, Please Help!
I just installed a Holley 4160 in my 84 305 Trans Am and would like to hook the manual choke up.
How do i route the choke cable? Has anyone ever done this before?
I looked at the firewall and couldn't find a good place to drill a hole for the choke cable. Any ideas?

Where you want to mount it is up to you, but the straighter you can keep the line, the better it will work (moves more freely, less likely to bind up). Just food for thought.

Re: Where to run manual choke cable, Please Help!
I ran mine through the firewall under the wiper motor, behind the driver's side header. It runs under the dash and into the center console and comes out above the radio. I have a 1 DIN Pioneer head unit and never got around to installing the trim piece to fill in the gap around the head unit so I had plenty of room to put the cable. I installed the cable before the headers so I had plenty of room to work. I can grab some pics tomorrow if you would like.

I would really appreciate some pictures, 92RS_Ttop, if it's not too much of a bother.

I'll grab them as soon as I can, but it may be a couple days due to the weather. Supposed to rain all day tomorrow and Saturday. Might even get our first snow of the year. As soon as I can get them I'll post them up for you.

I'm on the other side of the state. About an 1 1/2 hours east of Pittsburgh.
