New Carb missing connections // Affecting accl and shift
Last week I replaced my carb with a new Rochester quadrajet which is missins many of the connections that the previous had. I will post some photos of the new one, I was instructed to block off two ports and there are three electrical connectors which are not beeing utilized. since the new carb the TA is shifting heavy and there is avery noticable loss is accel. power. Any help would be greatly appreciated..

There is another port which was plugged up which is visibal in the first picture however not marked by red, it is just below the fuel line.

Your original carb was computer controlled. This older carb isnt. You need to either put a rebuilt computer controlled model E4ME back on it, or you'll need more work and money now. Without those wires connected, your computer will be confused (bet you have a check engine light on now) and wont do its job anymore. So if you want to keep that carb, look up whats involved in a holley, edelbrock, or any other non-computer swap and you'll have to do that. Mainly you'd need a vacuum advance distributor and a kit to control your torque converter lockup.
Any of those unused vacuum connectors you need to plug off. The hoses I cant tell where they're coming from so I cant say what to do with them.

Sparkytfi is right, those connections are for computer controled Qjets. Your engine has no acceleration because you have zero timing advance.
The open vacuum port on the carb from the first pick should go to the front choke pull-off....which is strangly absent on your carb. Well at least that's where the front choke pull-off plugs into on an Olds CCC carb. I thought on a Chevy style carb, the pull-off connected somewhere different, but it doesn't really matter where as long as it's manifold vacuum. Either way, you need a front choke pull-off with the associated linkage.
PS, the vacuum hose comming off the top of the carb above the fuel inlet in your first pic...where is that routed to?
