Carter W O problem
Hi, I have a Carter w o and the metering rod in the float bowl is letting gas pass through the carb after the engine has shut off. Another odd thing is that when the engine is at idle the same jet just drips out the gasoline where it dumps out into the ventury . Ive had this carb apart 4 times to investgate with no luck .Its as if the rod just wants to drain the float bowl when the engine is off. I put a new float needle valve and different metering rod and seat with the same results. The float level is approx 3/8 in from float to casting which is a general spec for that carb. The gas isnt boiling since this happens immediatley upon engine start up. Any help would bregreatly appreciated.. thanks jim
