OK so I rebuilt a quadrajet for my 84camaro took it to go get tuned and the guy told me my accelerator pump wasnt long enough. It took maybe 1/4 inch before it drizzled. It was the sane pump in the prev. Rebuilt carb. And the same in rebuild kit. And the same in my untouched 85 carb. What's going on. Is this normal. Did I manage to set the rich and lean stop both wrong. I have since got a longer pump from the carb shop for free put it in myself and it works great. But the curiosity is killing me
